weeWONDERBOX: Easter In The City – Words, Stages, A Cross
April 14 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Easter in the City is a 2 part-series, which offers an opportunity to enter into and reflect upon some of the events of the last hours of Jesus’ life.
This afternoon, on Good Friday, we focus on the events leading up to Jesus’ execution by the Roman authorities. Through readings, prayers, symbolic action, song and times of silence, we’ll follow the stages of Jesus’ final moments in order to reflect on what these mean for our faithful devotion and discipleship.
The timings of the three sections of the event will be as follows:
- 12.00-1.30pm: Stations of the Cross
- 1.30-2.30pm: Words from the Cross
- 2.30-3.00pm: A penitential rite
You’re welcome feel free to come and go, as feels appropriate to you.
