weeWONDERBOX – A Life Of Dignity?
December 12, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
A conversation with the Poverty Truth Commission
This evening Elaine Downie and Commissioners from The Poverty Truth Commission will lead a conversation on ‘A Life of Dignity: What does it mean for each of us?’
This is the third in a series of monthly Craighead Conversations, ‘What’s faith got to do with it?’ focusing on the theme ‘Crossing Boundaries’, (this is the second with weeWONDERBOX).
The events are open to all and invite us to reflect on key public issues in Scotland today and to ask: ‘What does this mean for an understanding of faith and what actions will take us to a more just society?’
Each conversation is held in partnership with an organisation active in the topic area and features invited speakers who can share knowledge, experience and engagement in bringing about change.
Speakers will address an aspect of the way in which society is divided and we will talk about how we can reach out across these divides to build a more just world together. Talks will be followed by discussion.
The next Craighead Conversations event is on 16th January 2017 ‘Glasgow’s Health Divide’ with Professor Sir Harry Burns.
See the weeWONDERBOX 2016-17 listings page for more information about this and other events.
Cost / RSVP: Free (tho’ donations welcome on the night. £5 suggested). Please book via this Eventbrite link: https://lifeofdignity.eventbrite.co.uk
